Air Translate , Translate on the AIR

This application is an AIR-based application that is used to translate the text of the languages supported by Google Translate (http://translate.google.com). The application is quite simple, consisting only of a text area and then combobox to select the source language and the language of translation results in the desired, then a button to translate. This application is light enough to walk fast in processing and translation results. If you want to install this application, you must first install Adobe AIR Runtime can be downloaded for free at Adobe AIR’s site (http://get.adobe.com/air/). After you install the Adobe AIR Runtime, you just only need download the application at Google Code Air Translate repository in http://code.google.com/p/airtranslate/downloads/list. Download application with .air extention, AIRTranslate.air, then install. To run it fairly easy, you just simply type the word / sentence / paragraph that you want to translate in the top text area. Later in the translate, select the language you want it (as the source language), or choose Auto detect. If your language is not in the list, you can choose more, and the list of more languages will appear. Then select the language you will translate the text / paragraph above, then click the Translate It!

Install Adobe Air

1. Open the Terminal
2. Download the file from here using the wget command:
http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/1.5/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
3. The name of the file is AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
4. Save the file in the Home folder (Places > Home Folder)
5. Run this command:
chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
6. Now run this command:
sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

Adobe Flash Catalyst

Taken from adobe labs, at MAX  in Milan, Adobe announce Flash Catalyst . This application allow a designer to make a application interface and interactive content WITHOUT CODING (wow..!)..

Catalyst blend the design and interactivity. You can design an application intreface in Photoshop, Firework, or Illustrator then importing it to Catalyst and make interactivity with ur interface..

Adobe Developer Week e-Seminars

Materi seminar Adobe Dev  bisa di ikuti di http://www.adobe.com/communities/developerweek/. Walopun on demand. tapi lumayan lah buad nambah ilmu heuheueu . Da banyak materi yang ditawarkan (20 klo ga salah).. tadi sempet attend 3 session ( walopun ga pada slese .. hahahaah.. dah overload nie..  ). Yang pertama bahas tentang Adobe Air, dengan judul “Extending web to the desktop with Adobe AIR” yang dibawain ma Kevin Hoyt ( dulu klo ga salah pernah juga ikut seminarnya dia.. hmmm  bahas tentang Flex kayaknya….). Trus Seminar yang kedua tentang Flex Data Services, yang dibawain ma Christope Coenraets (materi flex di blognya bagus.. bagus ). truz yang ketiga Integrating Salesforce.com and Flex (gag taw namanya pembicara nya .. lupah.. *sorry im getting older*.. hueheuehu )
